Refund policy

1. Factory Seconds & "As-Is" Condition Many of our products are sold as "Factory Seconds," "Downgrade," or "Ex-Yard Stock." These items are sold with known imperfections (such as rust, scratches, dents, or weathering) which are reflected in the discounted price.

  • No Returns for Known Faults: We do not accept returns or refunds for imperfections that were disclosed at the time of sale (e.g., listed in the product description or visible during inspection).

  • Inspection: We strongly recommend inspecting all "In-Store" and "Factory Second" items personally at our Jimboomba yard before purchasing.

2. Change of Mind & Over-Ordering We are not legally required to offer a refund if you simply change your mind or over-order materials. However, we understand that estimating building quantities can be difficult.

  • Over-Orders: If you have purchased too much stock (e.g., bought 10 sheets but only used 5), we may accept a return of the unused portion at our discretion.

  • Restocking Fee: A restocking fee of 15% may apply to all change-of-mind returns to cover handling and administration costs.

  • Condition: Returned items must be in the exact condition they left the yard (e.g., not cut, drilled, or painted by you).

3. Major Faults & Warranty (Australian Consumer Law) Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure that was not disclosed as a "Factory Second" condition.

  • Example of a Valid Claim: You bought a "New" roll of wire and it is rusted through inside the packaging.

  • Example of an Invalid Claim: You bought "Rusty Cattle Rail" and want to return it because it has rust on it.

Please have your Receipt / Invoice Number ready.

5. Refunds Process If your return is approved:

  1. Bring the item back: You are responsible for transporting the goods back to our Jimboomba warehouse.

  2. Inspection: We will inspect the items to ensure they are still in saleable condition.

  3. Payment: Refunds will be processed to your original payment method (or as Store Credit if preferred) within 3-5 business days.

6. Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

  • Custom-cut steel or timber (e.g., if we cut a beam to 3.4m for you, we cannot take it back).

  • Special order items that we do not normally stock.

  • Hazardous materials or liquids (e.g., open silicone, paint).
